Hi, I’m Kristen – a concept-driven designer with a background in marketing, branding, and front-end web development. I combine strategic thinking with visual storytelling to create thoughtful identities and campaigns across print and digital. My process is rooted in curiosity, research, and ideation — exploring different creative directions to uncover the idea that gives each project its distinctive character. My work balances minimalism with expressive detail, using negative space, typography, colour, and imagery to create visual experiences with personality, mood, and purpose.

My path to design hasn’t been entirely linear — but somehow, each part of my background has found its way into the creative work I do today. I hold a Commerce degree from Concordia University and spent six years in the fashion industry as a buyer for major luxury and mass-market retailers. I later moved into front-end web development, working both agency-side and in-house. Creativity has always been part of who I am, and over time it became more central in my career. This included building a scarf brand that was sold online and carried by Toronto retailers, and later working across branding, marketing and digital design for a leading Toronto real estate team. These experiences brought the strategic, technical and creative sides of my background together.

I’m a Toronto native, mom of two boys, and share a very full house with my husband, kids, and pets. When I’m not designing, there’s a good chance I’m on a tennis court. I play competitive tennis in a ladies league and, along the way, have been a team captain and won a club championship.
I’m also a Pilates devotee, lifelong fashion lover, and enthusiastic traveller. I’ve always been highly attuned to the visual world around me — colour, composition, typography, styling, and the little details that give something its character. I love the way those things can shape a feeling, create a mood or stir an emotional response. It’s also what drew me to design and its ability to make us feel something before we can put it into words.
